Family Storytelling Night

Family Storytelling Night
Family Storytelling NightOn February 4, 2019, families gathered at Milford Elementary for a fun family storytelling night.   The stage was decorated with a tent, fire, trees and camp chairs.  The lights were dimmed and there was stars lit in the sky.  Families brought quilts and chairs, admired our school quilt, and munched on smores snack mix.  The night began with Mrs. Michaela Wiseman giving a bio about each of our guests.  Mr. Duke Hollingshead (board member) sat by the campfire and told us about Matilda and how she came about.    Mrs. Margaret Miller told us a true story that happened in the Frisco cemetery.    Mr. Larry Barnes taught everyone a campfire song called "Little Tom Tinker".    We sang around the campfire!  Mrs. Sherri Yardley shared a special pioneer story as she represents the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.  We finished out the night singing "I Love A Rainy Night" as Mr. Barnes played his guitar! It was a wonderful night that brought us together as friends and families in a great community!
